ABENA Netherlands Relocates to Laarakker Business Park

The Danish family-owned ABENA Group is relocating its Dutch subsidiary, ABENA Netherlands, to the Laarakker business park in Haps. After years of preparation, the final decision has been made, and construction can now begin. Rob Basjes, Managing Director of ABENA Netherlands, and the municipality of Land van Cuijk are delighted that the new construction is finally becoming a reality. ABENA is a producer and leading supplier of various products for healthcare, cleaning, hospitality, packaging, and food processing.The ABENA Group employs over 2,000 people and is growing within Europe. ABENA Netherlands will move from its current locations in Boxmeer and Heijen to a single location in Haps, spanning approximately six hectares. The new site will serve as the hub for sales in the Netherlands and manage sales and logistics for both the Netherlands and neighboring countries.
A modern and sustainable business complex will be developed in phases at Laarakker Zuid, directly located along the A73. Phase 1 includes the Dutch headquarters and the first section of the distribution center. The contractor has already been selected, and construction will begin in early 2025. ABENA aims to complete the new facility as quickly and sustainably as possible.
Another Regional Company Chooses Laarakker
The Laarakker business park and the municipality of Land van Cuijk are pleased to welcome this new company. Rob Basjes, Managing Director of ABENA Netherlands, is pleased that the new construction is officially underway. Basjes explained:
